Great product, easily holds 100 feet of paracord with interior storage for a lighter and a built-in cutter - you are good to go. I used a short length of kevlar for a lanyard on the lid of the interior storage compartment.

The only drawback of the original design was that it was too big to easily EDC, even with cargo shorts/pants. But with the Elite, it’s small enough to easily and comfortably fit in cargo shorts/pants. As a truck driver, I am CONSTANTLY tying stuff down. When I go camping or hiking, I am CONSTANTLY using Paracord for a WIDE range of activities. When I go to the range, I am constantly using Paracord to hang up targets and secure gear.
My point is that I am always using Paracord in my life to make life easier so it’s really nice not having it just rolled up in my cargo pants/shorts and eventually get unrolled and knotted up. Having the full size available for any planned events (range days, camping, etc) and the smaller elite size for EDC use is a game changer. If you are someone who hasn’t learned how useful it is to always have Paracord on you, buy the elite, EDC it, LEARN SOME BASIC KNOTS, and then as you carry it, you will start coming across situations where YOU can make a situation MUCH EASIER since you have Paracord on you at all times.
If you ever wanted to be the “go to” person, to be known as the person who is always “prepared for anything”, and to be known as the “MacGyver” type, a great place to start is by always having Paracord on you, learning lots of useful ways to use it, and being confident enough to use those ideas.

I love this cord dispenser! Small enough to fit in my pack, truck door, or camper. Holds plenty or cord, and the storage slot is great for holding a lighter to melt the ends of cut cord. I always have a few feet of cord available for whatever I might need it for.

The Elite model has improvements over the original. The compartment cap it tethered to its base and the cutter blade cover is a plus. This Elite is the 50ft cord package. Would like the updated features mentioned above on the bigger, 100ft paracord model

The guard is a great improvement over the previous model, as well as the addition of the swing out accessorie door. The slightly smaller compact size also makes it easier and lighter to carry on day hikes, hunting, or fishing!
